What is an original (stock) file?
An original file — a shop will also call it a stock file, an ori file or a factory calibration — is the calibration exactly as the manufacturer wrote it. Nothing in it has been changed: the maps, the limits and the checksum are the ones the module shipped with.
That is what makes it useful even when nobody wants it on the truck. It is the known-good reference. A module that has been read, flashed and edited by three different people over ten years has no baseline left; the original file is the baseline, and everything else is measured against it.
Every file here is identified by the number printed on the module — the ECM code, the part number or the software version — because that number, not the truck's badge, is what decides whether a calibration belongs in it.

No, and this catches people out. The calibration is not the ECM template, which holds the manufacturer-specific setup — a Kenworth template is not a Peterbilt one. On Cummins, back up the work order first, flash the calibration in Calterm, then send the template back with INSITE. A calibration on its own is not a plug-and-play module clone.
No. They are supplied as the manufacturer wrote them, which is the entire point of an original file. If a listing has been modified in any way it is filed as a mod file instead, never here.
Match by number, not by model. The ECM code, part number or software version printed on the module is what identifies a calibration — two trucks that look identical can take different files. Every listing shows the number it belongs to, and the search box at the top of the site searches those numbers directly.

Yes — files are supplied as read, with their checksum intact. If you then edit one yourself, the checksum will no longer match your changes; the checksum tools on this site rebuild it for you in a few seconds.
