How you pay

This tool costs 100 credits per file. Credits are prepaid and one credit is one US dollar100 credits is $100.00, with no subscription, no monthly fee and no minimum order.

You buy credits with a card or a PayPal account on the credits page, in packs — the larger packs carry a bonus, so a shop doing several files a week pays less per file. Credits do not expire and every movement, spent or returned, is listed in your account. Before any payment goes through — buying credits, or spending them here — you tick a box to accept the payment terms, and they are shown in full at that moment rather than hidden behind a link.

If a job fails after you have paid, the credits go back to your balance automatically and a refund line appears in your history. You are never charged for a file you did not receive.

How Cummins calibration checksum correction works

A Cummins calibration file carries its checksum as four hexadecimal characters at the very start of the file. Every byte after those four characters feeds the calculation, so changing a single value anywhere in the calibration leaves the stored header describing a file that no longer exists. The tooling notices immediately and refuses the file.

This tool reads the file, recalculates what those four characters should be, writes them back, and hands the file straight back to you. Nothing else in the file is touched — the calibration you edited is the calibration you get back.

It is the everyday fix after editing a cal by hand, merging changes between two files, or recovering a file that was saved by a tool that did not update the header. If the header was already right, the file comes back unchanged and you can see that for yourself: the before and after values are shown side by side.

Questions

Which Cummins modules does this cover?

The CM2350, CM2250 and CM2150 families — X15, ISX15, ISB, L9 and the PACCAR modules that share the same calibration format. The file format is what matters, not the engine: if the file starts with four hex characters and a compatibility header, this is the right tool.

Is a calibration the whole ECM?

No, and this trips people up. The calibration is not the ECM template, which holds the manufacturer-specific setup — a Kenworth template is not a Peterbilt one. Back up your work order first, flash the calibration in Calterm, then send the template back with INSITE.

Does this change my calibration?

No. Only the bytes that hold the checksum are rewritten. Every map, limiter and parameter is returned exactly as you sent it — the file comes back the same size, and if you send a file whose checksum is already correct you get back a file identical to the original, byte for byte.

Do you keep a copy of my file?

No. The file is processed in memory and never written to disk. Nothing is stored, nothing is indexed, and the corrected file only exists in your browser once it comes back. Close the tab and it is gone.

What happens if it fails?

The credits go back to your balance automatically and a refund line appears in your credit history. You are only ever charged for a file you actually received.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs on our server, so it works from a workshop laptop, a phone in the yard, or a machine that has never had tuning software on it. There is no licence, no dongle and nothing to keep alive.
